Innovation and Well-being with Shellty Bed Sheets

At Vida Maior, we have always been committed to providing excellent services and implementing innovative solutions that improve the quality of life of our clients. It is with great satisfaction that we announce that Shellty bed sheets are now used by all clients at Vida Maior Maceira, marking a new milestone in the care we provide. 

The Shellty Sheetsdeveloped by IHCarerepresents a true technological revolution in the care provided to our clients. This solution not only ensures efficiency, protection, and comfort but also offers our team a highly effective tracking tool, thanks to the unique ID on each sheet, allowing us to maintain strict control and guarantee service excellence.

The bed sheets now in use across our institution are hydrophobic, highly waterproof, breathable, antiviral, biocompatible, and soft to the touch, providing unmatched comfort to our clients. For us, the advantages are clear: enhanced client well-being, reduced maintenance time, improved operational efficiency, cost reduction, and a significant contribution to environmental sustainability.

In the first phase, we focused on comparing the bacterial load of Shellty Pro Care sheets with that of the cotton sheets we previously used. The results exceeded our expectations, confirming Shellty’s superiority in terms of hygiene and safety.

We decided to fully implement this solution throughout the institution following the success of the first pilot phase, in which Shellty Pro Care proved to be safe and effective in our facilities.

With the widespread implementation of Shellty bed sheets, we aim to validate the geriatric benefits of the Shellty Pro Care solution for all our clients using specific evaluation tools. We are also measuring annual energy savings and CO₂ emission reductions, as part of an environmentally sustainable management policy.

We also use a specialized application, the My Shellty App, to track the bed sheets and quantify the savings resulting from the full implementation of the Shellty solution, focusing on reducing operational costs and optimizing resources. Our technical team quickly adapted to this new digital tool, showing that we are on the right path.

The implementation of Shellty Pro Care in our facilities took place on July 17, during an event attended by our technical management team and the IHCare team. In addition to replacing traditional bed sheets with Shellty sheets, we also implemented the Web App My Shellty, which will facilitate the work of our healthcare professionals.

So far, we have received very positive feedback from our clients regarding this innovation. Through this feedback, we are confirming all the beneficial characteristics that Shellty bed sheets bring to the daily lives of our clients and staff.
